The Gilman District before Donkey & Goat moved in and prior to Orton’s massive redevelopment of the historic Flint Ink Factory that operated on two city blocks from 1906-1978.
Donkey & Goat was the pioneering wineeryat the 750 Gilman project and had the vision to bring a new kind of manufacturing to Berkeley. Thier leadership built the thriving community of five wineries in the block that anchors the Gilman District.
